Tires slashed at Cousens lot

The tires of two athletic vans were slashed, according to a report that reached the Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) at 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 17. The cars had been parked in the Cousens lot.

Student hit by food thrown from unidentified vehicle

Both Somerville police and TUPD received calls on Sept. 17 regarding a vehicle that was driving around and throwing food at pedestrians. One Tufts student reported being hit on the corner of Tilton Lane and Latin Way.

Student uses beer can as a weapon

A student attending a party on Sunset Road that was eventually broken up reportedly threw a full beer can at a Somerville police car on Sept. 14. The student was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and with destruction of property over $250.

Intolerant messages written in freshman dorm

TUPD received a report of an act of intolerance at 2:09 a.m. on Sept. 16. The offense allegedly involved several students putting offensive words and pictures on the two white boards as well as the actual door of a student residing in Tilton. The comments and pictures were reportedly sexual in nature.
