If you would like to use your flyer as an ad in the Daily, the information below may help you choose an appropriate ad size.
Creating Your AdThe best way to create your ad is by designing it in a publishing or graphics program, such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe InDesign. However, for more basic ads, Microsoft Word is a simple and adequate choice. When designing your ad, keep the following tips in mind: 1. The best designs are clean, simple and easy to understand. The more crowded you make your ad, the less likely readers are to understand its point. 2. The ultimate goal of any advertisement is to promote something. You can make your ad funny or creative, but be sure not to do so at the expense of clarity. 3. The Daily will place a thin border around your ad automatically. To make your ad more effective, do not place your own border in the image. 4. Use simple, clear fonts that are easy to read. While varying fonts will make your ad more interesting, be sure to balance this variety with the larger goal of making an understandable ad that conveys a clear message. 4. Do not be afraid of white space. Proper use of white space can help to emphasize the important parts of your ads: its graphics and text. |
