TUPD misreported site of armed robbery, victim says

Junior Liz Friedman has identified herself as the victim of the armed robbery that took place near campus on Sunday, and says the police have repeatedly misreported where the crime occurred. Friedman, 20, told the Daily she was robbed of her cell phone and wallet at the intersection of Mason Street and Broadway, not on Leonard Street, which is two blocks from Mason, as the Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) had said in security alerts. "I don't know why the police report had it wrong but I spoke to Sgt. [Joseph] Tilton from TUPD recently and told him to correct the information- obviously it has not been corrected," Friedman wrote in an e-mail to the Daily. Students passing the campus center at noon tomorrow can grab a free taste of local restaurants' offerings, as the Tufts Community Union (TCU) Senate will be hosting a food fair at which eateries hoping to join the Meals on Points (MOPs) system will give away food.
