Bottled water is a good thing, but there are people who would have you believe otherwise. Supporters of Think Outside The Bottle (TOTB) pledge to use water bottles filled with tap water and support politicians who "prioritize strong public water systems over bottled water profits," according to the organization's Web site. Two days ago, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani's once-mighty presidential campaign collapsed in Florida as he received an anemic 15 percent of the vote in his alleged firewall state. Though "America's Mayor" once enjoyed a relatively healthy national lead, his campaign's demise was less a fiery flameout than the sad deflation of a birthday balloon that everyone had forgotten was still floating around. Dear Editor: We are extremely disappointed by your lack of coverage of this past Saturday's Winter Bash. This was an annual school-wide event that drew between 3,500 and 4,000 students, a significant proportion of the undergraduate population.
