Men's Tennis | Tufts prevails in first outdoor New England match of spring

Cool temperatures and gusty winds yesterday afternoon welcomed back a men's tennis squad that was returning from a spring break trip in sunny Miami, Florida. Long sleeves and all, the Jumbos prevailed over the Conn. College Camels 8-1, taking two of three doubles matches along the way. (0) comments

In a season that featured a plethora of extraordinary individual accomplishments, the women's swimming and diving team enjoyed a slew of team successes during its 2007-08 campaign. Among them was a fifth-place finish at the NESCAC Championships in February and a strong showing at the NCAA Championships, in which three members of the team - senior Kendall Swett, sophomore Lindsay Gardel and freshman Megan Kono - all made appearances. With the conclusion of the national championships last weekend, the men's swimming and diving season is officially over. But looking back on the year that was, the Jumbos must certainly be satisfied with their accomplishments. Last season, the Tufts squad finished third at the NESCAC Championships, behind both Amherst and Williams. (0) comments

After a great 3-1 start to its season, the nationally ranked No. 16 women's lacrosse team stumbled this week, losing a road battle against NESCAC foe Conn. College 14-7 on Wednesday afternoon. I watch the games, bite my nails in the triple OTs, complain that Dickie V sounds like a cross between Kermit the Frog and Sloth from the Goonies, and whine that some kid who knows nothing about college basketball is winning my pool.
