Editors' Challenge | Week 11

As the midseason lull draws to a close, things are bound to get interesting now. No more bye weeks means no limit to the surprises that could take the Eds' Challenge standings by storm.

In a week of across-the-board mediocrity, Liz "Feeling the Heat" Hoffman was in the middle of the pack with a 6-8 finish. She keeps a decent lead on the rest of field, but once again, the gap is closing.

Alex "Minnesota-Bound" Bloom finally benefited from picking his Eagles, along with a clutch pair of picks in Arizona and Cincinnati, to vault into second place with an 8-6 week. He and guest picker Cat Beck proved that cross country captains know their football.

Picking Atlanta over Carolina was all it took to propel Ethan "What NOW, Evans??" Landy a game ahead of Evans "Dammit" Clinchy. Landy moves into a second-place tie with Bloom, while Clinchy sits a game behind, all alone in fourth.

Ross "Breakin' News!" Marrinson gleefully climbed into fifth place, overcoming the loneliness of a Daily office without Bloom. Tim "We're running out of Dolphins jokes to put here" Judson took a nosedive into fifth alongside Marrinson, paying the price for his Miami loyalty. Rachel "Original Basketball Groupie" Dolin held steady at 6-8, holding her ground in seventh place. Three games off her pace is Sapna "Basketball Groupie-in-Waiting" Bansil, whose eighth-place standing is kind of depressing considering the fact that she ... cheats. Still.

Last but not least is Carly "Special Teams" Helfand, who phoned in her picks from a bustling Logan Airport on her way out of town. She may not have won anything, but she's still going to Disney World. Go figure.

Longtime Daily baseball analyst Peter "Layin' Down the K-Law" Bendix offers his guest picks. Nice Buffalo pick, Peter... maybe you should stick to baseball.
