Two high school students TEMS'ed
Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) officers received a call from Houston Hall on Nov. 9 at 2:46 a.m. stating that an intoxicated male had been vomiting for an hour. According to Sergeant Robert McCarthy, he was a "pre-frosh" that was visiting the school. He was transported to the hospital.
On Nov. 11 at 2:44 a.m., TUPD officers responded to a call from Bush hall for medical help, this time for an intoxicated 16-year-old female. McCarthy didn't think she was visiting the school on an arranged visit.
"It looks like her friend was the girlfriend of a student here," he said. The girl, a Boston native, was also transported to the hospital.
Wallet, iPod and bike stolen in two separate incidents
A student reported that both his wallet and iPod had been stolen from the Tisch Library on Nov. 11 at 6:39 p.m. He had left his backpack at a desk to step outside and noticed some things missing when he returned. According to McCarthy, the student didn't say how long he was outside, and nothing has been recovered. He had $30 in cash in his wallet.
Another theft was reported on Nov. 12 at 12:44 a.m. A student said he had left his bike in the lobby of South Hall for 15-20 minutes. He said it was gone when he returned.
Disoriented female student bangs on door of Emery St. residence
A Medford resident called in with a report of a disoriented person banging on the door of her house on Emery St. on Nov. 11 at 5:44 a.m. The disoriented person was a female student who couldn't remember any of the events of her night except that she'd been at a party across the street at some earlier point. Apparently, she left the party a few hours prior to the incident. McCarthy was not sure exactly what happened to her in those few hours between the party and her reappearance on the street.
