Window mysteriously smashed in Hillel
TUPD officers went to the Hillel center around midnight on Jan. 20 after a security alarm at the back exit sounded. A rear sliding door had been smashed with a large hole in the middle, and they found a red brick just inside. There did not appear to be anything stolen, and the officers arrived on the scene as soon as the alarm sounded. Sergeant Robert McCarthy said TUPD had "no idea" as to what may have motivated the break-in.
Wallet and bag stolen from under student's nose
A student studying in Tisch Library near the windows overlooking Professor's Row noticed his wallet and bag missing after working at a computer for approximately ten minutes around 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 17. He did not see anyone in the area when he returned to find his things missing, and nothing has been recovered.
