Top ten gloomy tween songs to get you through this rain

Though many of us come from different places and backgrounds, we can all remember a time when we straightened our bangs, applied a heavy dose of eyeliner to our prepubescent faces and went into a Hot Topic store unironically. These days, as the rain falls and the chilly air whips around us, it’s hard ...

'Grey's Anatomy' struggles with eleventh season

It happened to “How I Met Your Mother” (2005 - 2014). It happened to “Gossip Girl” (2007 - 2012) and, most tellingly, it happened to “Private Practice”(2007 - 2013). When a TV show is on the far side of the hill, audiences can tell.

'The Walking Dead' begins what could be best season yet

Over the course of four previous seasons, the quality of “The Walking Dead” (2010 - present) has been very inconsistent. New Caribou album pleasant, yet unoriginal

Dan Snaith, the mastermind behind the beloved indie-electronica band Caribou, is by no means a newcomer to the music scene. Why we love spooky stuff

Ah, Halloween. That wonderful time of year when friends gather round the TV, drink pumpkin spiced lattes and scare the ever-lovin' bejeezus out of each other with horror movies. There aren’t many holidays that I love more than Halloween. Maybe Christmas -- but I mean, come on,  everlasting salvation ...

'Letters to Medford' explores city's rich history

To celebrate the community's rich history, the Medford Historical Society and Museum is sponsoring the production of a new play which offers an in-depth reflection on the town’s growth and development since its founding in 1630. In addition to the University's connection to Medford, the play -- entitled “Letters to Medford: A Play about the Future, According to the Past" --  has strong ties to Tufts. Alumna Kyna Hamill adapted the story for the stage, and the production's stage manager is current Tufts sophomore Rachel Canowitz. “Letters to Medford” was inspired by a letter written by Medford historian Reverend Charles Brooks in his 1855 work “The History of the Town of Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts 1630-1855.”This and other historical letters, combined with a few contributions from modern Medford students -- addressed to citizens of the 2200s -- shaped "Letters to Medford." The Daily held an exclusive interview with playwright Kyna Hamill at the Medford Historical Society and Museum building in Medford.
