TCU Senate update | TCU Senate to vote on safety resolution

The Tufts Community Union Senate began its meeting last night with a moment of silence for poet Brandon Lacy Campos, 35, who died Friday after speaking at Tufts' Black Solidarity Day rally on Nov. 5 and for the Tufts undergraduate who was hospitalized after being struck by a car at the intersection of Packard Avenue and Powder House Boulevard. Senators announced the creation of a resolution in support of safety upgrades at the intersection, which will be put to a vote at next week's session.

Is it official? The two places I checked to be sure: Fox News and Twitter. On the night of the election at 11:17 p.m. ET, Fox News officially announced that Barack Obama had indeed won the election, regardless of Karl Rove's awkward self?denial. Several minutes later at 11:20 p.m., the official Obama twitter account (@BarackObama) tweeted the words "Four more years," along with a photo of Barack and Michelle locked in beautiful power?couple embrace.

Seniors to hold admissions interviews

Members of the Class of 2013 will now serve as interviewers of prospective students over winter break, filling the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Tufts Alumni Admissions Program (TAAP)'s need for more interviewers in certain locations.

JoeyTracker still broken, founders look to make repairs

Since Joseph's Transportation switched one of its Joey shuttles three weeks ago, the GPS-enabled JoeyTracker has not worked, leaving Tufts community members without a way to determine the location of the shuttle along its route from the Medford/Somerville campus to Davis Square.

Black Solidarity Day rally examines notions of blackness, diversity

Members of the Tufts community gathered on the Mayer Campus Center's lower patio Monday to celebrate Black Solidarity Day with a rally organized by the Pan?African Alliance. The event brought together black Tufts students, their advocates and interested passers?by, as well as guest speakers like famed blogger, poet, scholar and author Brandon Lacy Campos.
