Invisible Children representatives last night spoke about their KONY 2012 campaign to students interested in the organization's effort to capture Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), who since 1987 has abducted children as soldiers and sex slaves in Africa.

Students place second in Clinton Challenge

Tufts students involved with the Village Zero Project this past weekend traveled to the annual Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) at George Washington University and competed in the second annual CGI U Commitments Challenge, a competition of ideas and projects from college students.

Tufts Emerging Black Leaders (EBL) on Saturday held its eighth annual symposium in Cabot Auditorium, titled "The Dream Unfulfilled: The Myth of Meritocracy," with panels and performances addressing the issues of meritocracy, or the lack thereof, in American society.

Group to propose Asian American studies minor

The Race and Ethnicity Working Group this semester is constructing a proposal for an Asian American studies minor. The proposal is part of the group's goal of expanding the Tufts curriculum to include more academic perspectives on race and identity.
