I was disappointed but not surprised to learn in Thursday's Daily that CampusLink was irresponsible in its handling of the loss of Ethernet capabilities for an entire dorm. The reason that I am not surprised is because over the last three years, I have witnessed the severe degradation of the cable lines.
CampusLink does not sustain the wires that bring TUTV and CampusLink's own movie channel to the dorms. The quality of the signal that TUTV broadcasts is nowhere near what students see. Last year, when all of TUTV went black, it was well over a month before CampusLink acted. This year, no work was done to repair any of the damage that has occurred over the last few years.
It seems that two more years maybe too long to wait before CampusLink is gone.
