To the Editors:
I, like most of my colleagues in the purple valley, very much enjoyed Jon Japha's column "Those Damn Ephs." I would like to draw Mr. Japha's attention to the one meaningful connection that he missed between the Bronx Bombers and the Purple Cows: George Steinbrenner is a Williams alumnus. Perhaps this little fact makes everything far more clear.
