First, I want to thank you for the article on Socialist Alternative on Wednesday ("Tufts gains national socialist group"). However, the headline to the article erroneously described us as a "national socialist" organization. "National socialism" is usually used to refer to the Nazis. Socialist Alternative completely condemns Nazism, along with other racist ideologies.
Socialists have always been in the forefront of the struggle against fascism, and members of our organization in countries like Britain, Belgium, and elsewhere are right now fighting against the resurgence of racist, fascist ideologies and the growth of parties modeling themselves on the German Nazis.
Socialist Alternative is, more accurately, an international socialist organization. In a time when multinational corporations are pitting workers of different countries against each other in a perpetual race to the bottom, we reject right-wing nationalism and we are fighting to build a united movement of workers around the world, and fighting to end racism and build a socialist society under the democratic control of ordinary people.
