"Tufts Against Genocide Presents: Survivors Speak"

Details: Survivors of genocides including the Holocaust and those in Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur will join the Tufts community in an evening of remembrance to honor survivors' narratives and work towards preventing further atrocities.

"Jill Lepore Lecture: The Secret History of Wonder Woman"

Details: Jill Lepore (J '87), a professor of history at Harvard University, will deliver a lecture on her New York Times bestselling book, "The Secret History of Wonder Woman" (2014). The book chronicles both the history of famed superhero Wonder Woman and her creator, William Moulton Marston, as well as both figures' relationships to the feminist movements of the 20th century.

"EPIIC Symposium Keynote: Russian Identity"

Details: Gregory Carleton, associate professor of Russian at Tufts, will deliver the keynote address for the 2015 Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship (EPIIC) Symposium on Russia in the 21st century. The keynote will be followed by a five-speaker panel titled "Religion, Politics and Identity."

"Mythos/Melos—The Intertwining Threads of Music and Narrative"

Details: Pianists Lois Shapiro and Randall Hodgkinson will perform new transcriptions for two pianos of Igor Stravinsky's "Petrouchka" (1911) and "Firebird" (1910) ballets. Tufts student pianists will join Shapiro and Hodgkinson for a special arrangement of "Firebird," and the concert will also feature a performance by professional mime Colin Gee. The performance will be an exploration of the relationship between music and narrative.
