Freshman Charlotte Haigh, who successfully ran for class council secretary, casts one of the first votes in Tuesday night's election. "I really love meeting people and being involved in things," she said. "It's a good way to get involved right away." Voting began at 9 p.m. About 60 to 70 students voted in the lounge of Tilton Hall in the first 20 minutes of the polls opening. Voting also took place in Houston and Hill Halls, and the polls closed at 11 p.m. About 500 total ballots were cast.
