Men's Track
At Saturday's IC4A Championships at Boston University, the 4x400 relay team of seniors Trevor Williams and Pat Mahoney, junior Nate Scott and freshman Will Forde came up short trying to improve on its time in the 4x400 relay, running 3:20.24 and taking 19th place. In the Distance Medley Relay, Mahoney, seniors Matt Fortin and Kyle Doran and junior Nate Cleveland qualified provisionally for the NCAA Championships at the Trinity College Last Chance Meet on Friday, taking second place in 10:06.09. The relay team is currently ranked 11th on the performance list for Nationals.
Squash
Both Tufts representatives to this weekend's College Squash Association (CSA) Championships were eliminated in the first round of tournament play by eventual quarterfinalists. Sophomore Jake Gross, a No. 24 seed, fell to Trinity junior Jacques Swanepoel, 9-2, 9-2, 9-7. On the women's side, sophomore Rebecca Rice dropped a 9-2, 9-2, 10-8 match to the tournament's No. 5 seed, Penn sophomore Lauralynn Drury.
Women's Track
The women's track and field team used the Trinity Last Chance meet as just that, taking the final meet before Nationals to sneak some extra runners onto the National ranked performance lists. Junior Sarah Crispin ran a 5:03.36 mile to set a personal record and qualify provisionally for Nationals. The 4x400 relay team hit its goal of 3:56, as senior tri-captain Rachel Bloom, sophomores Joyce Uang, Kaleigh Fitzpatrick, freshman Jackie Ferry finished in 3:56.17 to improve the team's ranking on the NCAA list.
