From the Editor-in-Chief | Meet the Columnists

Want to know if you can break your boner? How to best to deal with ambushing Gorillas? Wear leggings with a sweater...that doesn't cover your butt?

This semester's round of Daily columnists is bringing answers to all these questions, as well as many more pearls of wit and wisdom. Their veritable potpourri of personalities will be spicing up our content throughout the Fall.

In our Features section, first meet Charlotte Steinway, the Daily's advice columnist. Her column, "S.O.S.," will address weekly questions about the trials and travails of life at Tufts (and yes, she does have Rihanna on speed dial).

Carrie Bradshaw should keep an eye on Tianyao Kelly and her "Tao of Sex" column, which will give you fresh and irreverent advice on life and love between the sheets.

Kelly will be joined by "Fashion Informer" Jyll Saskin, who will offer one-stop shopping for fashion advice.

Our beloved "Daily Townie," Pete McKeown, will continue to broaden our horizons with his native ""Meffihd"" perspective.

Rounding out the Features slate is a joint venture from two "Broads Abroad: Kate Peck, who will be Czeching in from Prague, and Bridget Reddington, from Vienna.

Through letters back and forth, these two pen pals will share with each other, and you, Dear Reader, all of their exciting - but distinct - adventures.

In Arts, you'll find Devin Toohey, who will be exploring the sordid underbelly of over-the-top trendiness with his weekly installment of "When Pop Culture Goes Bad."

Viewpoints will field divergent views, indeed.

True to it's name, Dan Torov's "Seven by Seven," detailing the ridiculousness inevitable from seven guys in one off-campus house (#7), will be joined by "Man, I'm Awkward," from the very funny but socially struggling Neil Padover. (And let's face it: writing a column about being awkward is, well, awkward).

Newcomer Olivia Teytelbaum rounds out the Viewpoints lineup with "Phobiaphiles: an enchantingly paranoid look at our own phobias- and why, deep down, we really love them.

Sports brings you five elements of color commentary, (occasionally) expert analysis and the blatant bias that the normal constraints of sports journalism usually stifle.

Rookie Will Herberich brings his voice to Monday's paper, followed by the decidedly more embittered Alex Bloom, who returns his "Philly Phodder" to the paper after a semester on the DL.

On Wednesday, Evans Clinchy gives us a more local perspective. Andrew Bauld returns to the clean-up spot as Thursday's columnist (you may remember him from the "40-midgets-versus-lion" piece last spring, on which he was still seriously misguided).

On Friday, freshman Matt Mertens brings his freelance perspective to the Sports section.

We had a great time getting these columnists together, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
