After a four-year career, and 47 starts in her final 50 games, women's soccer senior tri-captain Jen Fratto was selected to play in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Soccer Bowl.
The event, hosted annually by the New England Intercollegiate Soccer Association, honor four-year contributors whose careers stand out of the regional stage. Players from all three Divisions will attend the game, which will be hosted on Dec. 3 by Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass.
Fratto has been a solid defender during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons and a key part of Tufts' defensive strength. The Jumbos' tallest player, Fratto rose above opposing forwards time and time again to clear the ball and protect the Tufts net.
She started every game during her sophomore and senior seasons and as a junior, she played in 19 of 21 games and scored two goals for the storybook squad that advanced to the NCAA Div. III Final Four.
