Following her third-straight All-NESCAC selection, junior soccer player Martha Furtek joined 10 other players from the New England region on the D3Kicks.com All-Region First Team.
Leading her team from center midfield with six assists and 56 shots this fall, the midfielder also notched three goals for a total of 12 points. The Jumbos finished the season with a 9-4-1 record, good for second in the NESCAC, winning nine of its last 11 games after starting the season at 0-2-2. Bates cut Tufts' season short, however, beating the Jumbos 2-1 in the first round of the NESCAC tournament on Oct. 29.
Also from the NESCAC ranks were senior goalkeeper Piper Crowell and forward Amy Armstrong from Amherst and senior tri-captain Laura Williamson from Colby.
