Major: Undecided takes dorms by storm

In anticipation of their upcoming full-length show, Tufts' only sketch comedy group, Major: Undecided, will be performing mini-shows in dorms all week. As part of its "Dorm Tour '06," the Major: Undecided troop performed in South Hall last night and will take over Haskell Hall on Tuesday, Houston Hall on Wednesday and Miller Hall on Thursday. All performances are set to begin at 8 p.m.

Each show will include four sketches, with each different dorm getting an entirely different set of sketches. So if you're an M:U groupie (meaning, in this case, you follow them from dorm to dorm, not necessarily sleep with them) the dorm shows promise to consistently keep things fresh. Each of the Dorm Tour shows is free of charge and will probably last about 15 minutes.

M:U aims to build up some hype for their upcoming show entitled, "Sexy Secretaries and Dinosaurs" in Goddard Chapel this Saturday at 7 and 9 p.m. Full-length sketch comedy doesn't come as cheap as the dorm shows, though; the 7:00 show will cost $2 and the later show will cost a whopping $4.

But don't let that deter you. According to senior Prescott Gadd, one of the group's founding members, audiences of "Sexy Secretaries and Dinosaurs" can look forward to at least one sketch "about a vampire with AIDS dealing with the social stigma of having a lethal STD" among other quirky topics.

Gadd explains that the large semester show will include all new material, but the dorm tour sketches will "whet everyone's appetite a little; the dorm tour will combine old and new."

So, look forward to some favorites and some new material - and to the fact that you won't even have to change out of your pajamas to get some high-quality sketch comedy in your life.
