The competition at Medford Square Market's Apple Bake-Off was intense on Thursday afternoon. Community members submitted a Swedish Apple Cake, a Jewish Apple Cake, an Apple Cobbler and an Apple Crisp. The four apple creations were sampled by a panel of judges including Medford Mayor Michael McGlynn, Tufts Dining Services Director Patti Klos and Robert Giordano, the owner of Arthur's Bakery. Congratulations go out to Helena Gringas, a Medford resident of Swedish decent, who won the competition with her Swedish Apple Cake.
