Dental student dies in car accident

Tufts lost another member of its community Dec. 30, 2006. According to the Metro West Daily News, 31-year-old Edilene Evangelista died when her Jeep Grand Cherokee slid off an icy road and landed on its roof. The accident occurred at 27 Carter Road, only about a half mile away from her home.

Five weeks, several meetings, one rally and dozens of media references after the publication of the controversial carol "O Come All Ye Black Folk" in The Primary Source, "Tufts' Journal of Conservative Thought," students and administrators are preparing to unveil a host of initiatives to begin the semester.

The purpose of this viewpoint is to offer a fresh perspective on the Primary Source carol' debate. I am sure everyone has seen the 'carol' by now, so I will not repeat it. It is a disgusting poem; the Primary Source should have had more discretion.

TV review | The new '24' literally starts with a bang

In 1987, Alan Moore stunned readers with his comic book series "Watchmen." He effectively broke down the psychology behind the desire to be a superhero and the dangers a society faces in trusting these superheroes. Fox's show "24" succeeds on all these levels, and then serves up a healthy dose of ankle-twisting action, arguable "Watchmen"'s one failing. After seeing the first four episodes, "24"'s sixth season is starting to look like the best yet. This is truly the longest day of Jack's life.

Lily Diana Karian Oct. 2, 1987 - Dec. 12, 2006

Tufts freshman Lily Diana Karian was found dead in her room in Bush Hall in the earlymorning hours of Dec. 12. It appeared that she committed suicide, Dean of Student Affairs Bruce Reitman wrote in an e-mail to the Tufts community.

International club kicks off tribute to the late Damyanova

Students in the Sophia Gordon Multi-Purpose Room on Nov. 8 saw a mix of festivity and somber recollection. Treats from the Danish Pastry House were positioned side by side with framed photographs of Boryana Damyanova, known to her friends as "Bory" who died Nov. 22 of last year in a car accident around Davis Square.
