Club fencing team performs well in first tournament

While Tufts students have recently been closely following NESCAC playoffs in a wide variety of fall sports, the Tufts Club Fencing Team quietly kicked off its 2012?2013 campaign this weekend. On Saturday, the team journeyed to Smith College in Northampton, Mass. to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Conference (NEIFC) 2012 Fall Invitational.

Men's Cross Country | Haney's individual title leads Tufts to fourth-place finish

With a win at the NESCAC Championship in the bag, Tufts' top seven runners were given the week off to rehabilitate and prepare for the New England Championship. Coach Ethan Barron's decision to rest his top runners allowed the team's second seven runners to spearhead the Jumbos' performance at the ECAC Div. III Championship held last weekend at Williams College.

Volleyball | Jumbos swatted out of NESCAC tournament

Despite entering the NESCAC Tournament confident that it could pull off a first?round upset against No. 3 seed Bowdoin, the Tufts volleyball team lost in straight sets Friday night, struggling mightily against the potent Polar Bear attack. The Jumbos, who had lost their previous two matchups against Bowdoin this season, had difficulties maintaining consistency on the court, an issue that has plagued them all season.

Men's Soccer | Williams squeaks by Tufts in penalty kicks

For 110 minutes, Tufts went toe?to?toe with top?seeded Williams. However, there would be no Cinderella story for the Jumbos, who lost to the Ephs in penalty kicks after battling through regulation and overtime with neither team yielding a goal.
