Two robberies reported to TUPD

The Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) received multiple reports of items being stolen from athletics facilities last week.

A student left his wallet in his hat on the floor in the Gantcher field house between 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 21. When he returned, it was gone.

Another theft occurred in Cousens Gym between 12 and 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 23. A student left his backpack unattended, and someone stole $20, as well as his Verizon cell phone.

College Ave. apartment vandalized

TUPD received a call at 5:00 a.m. on Feb. 25 to assist Somerville police respond to a report of an unwanted person at an apartment on College Ave.

When TUPD officer arrived, the unwanted person had left, but a window on the front door had been smashed and was on the ground.

The student who made the report said the individual had thrown beer cans at her window and had knocked on the door for a long time. She did not want to release the individual's name.
