Alpha Phi held its Charity Denim fundraiser yesterday at the campus center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sisters sold designer jeans for 40-60 percent off their original prices and proceeds went to the international Alpha Phi foundation to be used for cardiac care. Brands sold included Joe's Jeans and Blue Cult.
This is the second year the sorority has held the event, and Alpha Phi member Lily Safran, a junior who had the idea for the inaugural fundraiser last year, said she hopes to keep it annual.
By the end of the day, Alpha Phi President Sonni Bendetson, a junior, said that the sorority had raised around $650.
"It went really, really well. We're really proud of all the sisters who worked really hard to plan it," she said.
Yesterday's event came on the heels of another Alpha Phi fundraiser. Earlier this month, members participated in a breast cancer walk and raised $2,500.
