Somewhere in between making travel plans, skipping classes and doing some last-minute shoddy editing of the above articles, the Daily's sports editors found time to bring you this illustrious Thanksgiving edition of Editors' Challenge.
Liz "Field Hockey Guru" Hoffman maintains her ever-slimming lead on the rest of the field, but with Ethan "Comeback Kid" Landy hot on the trail, the race has never been closer. Landy's 13-2 week was followed closely by 12-3 marks from Hoffman, Alex "Egomaniac" Bloom and Evans "Bartholomew" Clinchy. After the top four, however ... well, there's a drop-off.
Just short of the century mark in wins is the 99-60 Ross "Please Say Yes" Marrinson, although he has a lot more on his mind than just football. Tim "Stash Bash" Judson managed to match Marrinson with a 10-5 week, keeping the race for fifth place neck-and-neck.
There's confusion all over the bottom third of the standings. For starters, no one's really sure whether "Daily Editorial" Rachel Dolin is even in the sports department anymore, but she hangs tough in seventh, 10 games out of first place. Then there's Sapna "Basketball Reject" Bansil, begging for a way out of eighth place but no one seems to be answering her call.
Which brings us to Carly "Test Tube Baby" Helfand, who appears hopelessly mired in the cellar at 19 games out. The Eds' Challenge historians are still researching this one, but we're not sure if anyone's ever been that far out of the running through 11 weeks. This is history in the making, dear readers.
JumboCast program director and legendary Daily sports columnist Matt "Happy Recap" Kaufman offers his guest picks. He's loyal to his Jets... it's kinda cute, isn't it?
