Marijuana found in Wren Hall

Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) officers responded to a report of a fire alarm going off in Wren Hall at 2 a.m. on Nov. 1 When they arrived outside of the room in question, they could smell marijuana. The officers entered the room and saw a bag of a green, leafy substance that appeared to be marijuana. They saw another bag of marijuana in an open desk drawer and found two bongs and a pipe. Everything was confiscated and destroyed, and the matter was turned over to the office of the Dean of Student Affairs.

Laptop stolen from psychology building

Someone stole a laptop from an office in the psychology building, located at 490 Boston Ave., at 9:30 a.m. on Nov 2. The individual left the building after taking the laptop and was last seen heading down Dearborn Rd. to College Ave. He was described as a light- skinned African American in his mid-30s, around 6 feet tall, with a bald head, according to TUPD Sergeant Robert McCarthy.

After a break to party, fight over a beer resumes

TUPD officers responded to a report of a fight in progress right outside of Zeta Psi at 11:55 p.m. on Nov 3. Upon arriving, the officers separated the two males who were fighting, although one of them tried to continue with the struggle. This individual was not a Tufts student, but was visiting from another school. He was arrested for disorderly conduct. Both males appeared to have been drinking. Officers learned later that the fight had started earlier that night in Houston Hall. They apparently fought about a beer, stopped fighting and went to a party. When they started to fight for the second time, the police were called.

Three non-students are arrested for trespassing

TUPD officers saw two white males walking near Blakeley Hall at 3:11 a.m. on Nov 4. An officer recognized one of them as a male who had been reported for urinating in a shower stall in the dorm the week before. These three males were not Tufts students. Officers told them that they should leave campus immediately and that would be arrested if they returned. The individuals refused to comply and were arrested for trespassing.
