For those who enjoy the legendary beat of the Big Band era, the Shubert Theater is presenting the Big Broadcast of 1944, now playing until March 16th.
Harry James and his orchestra, along with The Pied Pipers, The Ink Sports, Lanny Ross and Travis Hudson will start your weekend off to a swing. Show time is 8:OO PM and tickets runfrom $12.00 to $18.50. For the theater goers, the offerings span from the Tony award winning musical "Annie" now playing at the Colonial Theatre, to the comical B roadway production of "Gemini" at the Charles Playlouse. ON CAMPUS: It's been a long time but they're back! Don't miss Roadwork tonightat the MacPhie Pub from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM. The First set will be a collection of soft tunes played by Fred Zarrilli, vocals and piano, and Dan Aldrich on the acoustic guitar.
Then the amp will be turned up for an evening of good old rock and roll with Mark Devries on base guitar, Miles Rubin on drums, Al Green on lead guitar and Jim Coughlin on guitar and vocals. So turn off that disco stuff and get your Ya Ya's out for a night of "tasteful' Rock.Admission is $1.25.
