Career saves made by senior men's ice hockey goalie James Kalec, a new Tufts record. Kalec broke the record against Bowdoin Saturday with his eighth save of the contest. The previous record was 2,139 saves, set by Ben Crapser who tended the net from 2000-2004.

Lead, in points, blown by the men's basketball team against the Bates Bobcats Saturday. Bates would go on to force overtime and eventually edge the Jumbos 72-68. Entering this game, Tufts was 8-3 in its last 11 overtime games, with all three of those losses to Amherst.

Consecutive losses posted by the Seattle SuperSonics on their most recent cold streak. Seattle is 9-35 this season, the second-worst record in the NBA. The franchise is likely destined to end up moving to Oklahoma City at some point in the near future.

Time of freshman men's swimmer Chris Vorlicek in the 400 IM, good for a pool record, the second spot on the NESCAC top times list for the 400 IM, and first place in the event against MIT Saturday. Vorlicek posted an outstanding day, also taking third in the 1,000 freestyle and second place in the 500 freestyle.

Dollars owed by Dallas WR Terrell Owens to the Philadelphia Eagles, his former team, as ruled by an arbitrator yesterday. Due to Owens' behavior with the Eagles in 2004, he was suspended and forfeit a portion of his $2.3 million signing bonus. Philadelphia since sought, and has won, the right to recover $1.725 million of that original sum.
