The men's basketball and hockey teams both won midweek contests last night.
Men's hoops picked up a 78-72 victory over non-conference foe Maine-Farmington, as four players reached double figures. Junior forward Jon Pierce posted a game-high 22, his fourth straight game of over 20 points. Senior guard Jeremy Black also had a strong performance, contributing eight assists and five steals.
Senior tri-captain Greg O'Connell scored twice to pace the hockey team, as Tufts pulled away with a 5-1 win over Suffolk.
Senior forward Dan Pencinger got the visiting Rams on the board first, but the Jumbos charged back to bury Suffolk with five unanswered goals. Junior Greg McCarthy and sophomores Cory Korchin and Joe Rosano aided O'Connell's two-goal effort.
