Combined drought in years since the men's and women's indoor track & field teams won the New England Div. III Championships. Both squads captured the titles this past weekend in the Gantcher center, as the men's team won the championship for the first time since 1991, while the women took the title for the first time in their program's 19-year history.

Career wins for golfer Tiger Woods, who won the Accenture Match Play Championship Sunday, his 15th World Golf Championship title. Woods moves into fourth place on the all time victories list in 218 career starts and has won five straight tournaments worldwide dating from Sept. 3, 2007.

Jump in national rankings made by the women's squash team, from No. 23 at the end of last season to No. 16 at the finale of this year's campaign. The seven spot jump represents the second largest single-season jump of any team in the nation, reinforced by the Jumbos appearance in the B Division in the Howe Cup this season.

Years between the inception of the Tennessee Volunteer's men's basketball program and its first No. 1 national ranking. Following a 66-62 victory over then-No. 1 Memphis on Saturday, former No. 2 Tennessee ascended to the top of both the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll and the Associated Press writers' poll for the first time in school history.

Goals scored in the final minute of the second period by the Babson Beavers against the hockey team in the team's regular season finale Saturday Feb. 23. Already staring at a 3-1 deficit, the Jumbos surrendered three goals within 34 seconds, though they gave up no more goals throughout the remainder of the contest. Tufts lost 6-1.

Number of concussions suffered by Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace in as many years. Wallace was knocked unconcious Feb. 22 by an errant elbow in a game against Sacramento and is out indefinitely as his situation is assessed. The Bobcats have sought help from the Carolina Panthers NFL team medical staff to decide how best to proceed.
