Located downhill right next to Dewick-MacPhie Dining Hall, Bush Hall houses 51 doubles and three singles. Sophomore Matthew Luz said that he likes living in Bush because of its proximity to campus eateries. "If I'm hungry, I just step outside, go next door [and] grab something to eat," Luz said.
As for the social scene in Bush Hall, Tufts Residential Life encourages dorm interaction by having ice cream socials and barbeques. "I'm on TEMS and I also do other stuff ... so I'm personally not as sociable as I could be, but if I wanted to or needed to there are lots of people," Luz said.
The sophomore also added that compared to Wren Hall, where he lived last year, he likes Bush because there are no bugs and more washers and dryers.
Although there are only three singles in Bush, the spacious doubles make up for lack of personal space. Luz commented that the placement of outlets in the rooms is slightly inconvenient because there are no outlets above his dresser where he keeps his microwave and television. Still, the downsides to living in Bush, according to Luz, are greatly outweighed by the benefits.
"There aren't a lot of cons," Luz said. "Bush is nice."
