TCU Treasurer Dreifuss steps down

Tufts Community Union (TCU) Treasurer Evan Dreifuss has resigned from his post and will be taking a leave of absence from Tufts for this semester.

TCU President Neil DiBiase said Dreifuss, a senior, will be on medical leave. "He left for personal reasons. It has nothing to do with the Senate," DiBiase said.

DiBiase said that he and fellow senators will miss their former colleague. "He will be missed. He was a close friend to all of us on the Senate. He was my best friend," DiBiase said.

"It has been an honor working with you all over the past year and a half, and the relationships I have forged with many of you mean a lot to me," Dreifuss said in a letter to student organization representatives.

TCU Associate Treasurer Scott Silverman will move up to take over Dreifuss' post as treasurer. "Evan's been a great mentor for [Silverman], and the transition should be seamless," DiBiase said.

"I've had the privilege of working with Scott in many capacities, and I am confident that he will be an excellent Treasurer," Dreifuss said in his statement.
