Remembering 'Mr. Tufts'

The American flag sails at half-mast in honor of the recently deceased John Baronian (A '50), a beloved alumnus who generously supported Tufts' athletics and financial aid. Once a star lineman on Tufts' football team, Baronian remained an almost ubiquitous presence on campus after graduating. He founded the Jumbo Club, an organization supporting Tufts athletics by promoting awareness and fundraising, and set up the John K. and Margaret G. Baronian Memorial Scholarship Fund for financial aid.
