DAILY DIGITS: Field Hockey Edition

The field hockey team earned a 4-3 upset win over No. 1 Bowdoin in Brunswick, Maine on Friday evening to complete a perfect 14-0 regular season and record one of the greatest wins by any Tufts team in school history. The Jumbos followed by winning their NESCAC Tournament opener against Colby 5-1 yesterday on Bello Field. A look inside the numbers:

Wins for the Jumbos in 2008, a new single-season program record. Last year's squad tied the previous record of 13.

Jumbos' seeding in the NESCAC Tournament, their highest ever in the eight-year history of the event. Along with the top seed, Tufts also earned the right to host the tournament.

Nationally ranked top 10 teams the Jumbos have beaten this year, all on the road. They were: then-No. 3 Middlebury, then-No. 9 Trinity and No. 1 Bowdoin.
