7.5 Years it took the NFL to work out a settlement with Kelci Stringer, the widow of former Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Korey Stringer. The 335-lb. Stringer died in August of 2001 after complications of heat stroke suffered at the Vikings training camp in Mankato, MN. The league has agreed to support Kelci Stringer as she works to create a heat illness prevention program.
