Dude, where's my house?

A resident of an off-campus house on Sept. 16 notified the Somerville Police Department that a Tufts student had left an iPhone and a wallet belonging to the student in the resident's basement.

The Somerville police alerted Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) the following day. The student had been drinking the night before, walked into the wrong house and left his items there. TUPD returned the student's belongings.

Knock, knock … who's there?

TUPD responded at 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 to reports of students smoking marijuana in Wren Hall. The owner turned over a small amount of marijuana to TUPD officers when they arrived at his room.

Bad romance

TUPD officers at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 assisted the Medford Police Department in a case of assault and battery after receiving a report that a man and woman were fighting on the corner of Edison Avenue and Capen Street. Neither individual was affiliated with Tufts.

Stolen ‘goods'

TUPD received a report at 2:40 a.m. on Sept. 19 from a resident of Latin Way that a box containing herbal supplements was missing from his common room's refrigerator.

Responding later to reports of a party in a different Latin Way suite, officers discovered the box, along with several empty plastic capsules and empty bottles of vodka, rum and beer. All occupants of the suite were under 21. The incident will be investigated further, according to TUPD Sgt. Robert McCarthy.

High holidays

TUPD officers at 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 19 found a group of students smoking marijuana next to the Granoff Family Hillel Center. TUPD confiscated and disposed of the marijuana.
