West Nile Virus found in Medford

The West Nile Virus has hit Medford, although there does not yet appear to be a risk of human transmission. The infected mosquito that was found this summer is not the type that bites humans, according to Karen Rose, director of the Medford Board of Health.

Concussion management remains tricky

According to estimates by the Center for Disease Control, sports and recreation-related concussions occuring every year in the United States number 300,000. With such a high rate of incidence, it is no surprise that concussions are now so highly scrutinized that sports leagues devote resources to researching prevention and treatment.

Alumni profile | Newsom looks forward to more than MLB career

As a high school senior in 2000 pitching for Cincinnati's St. Xavier High School, Randy Newsom had none other than Harvard courting him for his athletic prowess. While the Crimson offered the allure of Div. I athletics and the prestige of an Ivy League education, Newsom was more intrigued by an earlier visit to Tufts.
