The given topic is "midterm election strategy," but in a strict interpretation of the term, I doubt whether the subject is one on which the two parties much differ.

New Jersey takes step towards gay marriage

New Jersey's Supreme Court ruled yesterday at 3:00 p.m. that homosexuals are entitled to the same marriage rights as heterosexuals, but left lawmakers to decide whether to legalize same-sex unions, according to CNN.

Senate resolution on cannon defacement causes debate

In a contested 12-11-2 vote and over two hours of debate, the Tufts Community Union (TCU) Senate passed a resolution on Sunday entitled "A Resolution Condemning Bias Incidents within the Tufts Community: A Response to the Bias Incidents Against the Tufts Queer Community of October 2006."
