Concert Review | Musician blends debauchery, introspection

He opened the Oct. 25 show rambling about purple mountains, jingoism and baseball. He acknowledged that he might have been inciting groupthink as he riled up the crowd. He said that he could not consume any creamy New England clam chowder while on tour, claiming it is bad for his throat - though he quickly admitted to a tour?time "singer's diet" of Adderall, cocaine and beef jerky. On stage, he combined the sexy rambunctiousness of Jagger with the acute yet abstract cultural commentary of Dylan.

Football | Heading into opener, Jumbos look to build on scrimmage victory

For the first time in nearly two years, the Tufts football team will go into a Saturday afternoon coming off of a win. While it may seem trivial to be excited about the scrimmage against Bowdoin that the Jumbos won last Friday, for a team looking to build a new culture a scrimmage was more than enough to get the squad fired up for the season opener against Wesleyan this weekend.

Ruggiero to tackle community outreach

Tufts Community Union (TCU) President Wyatt Cadley created a new Community Outreach Liaison position in the Senate to improve relations between students living off-campus and the local community and city governments and appointed  junior Senator Stephen Ruggiero to fill the position.

Eco-evaluation program introduced

The Office of Sustainability (OOS) in April launched the Green Office Certification program across all three Tufts campuses, which encourages university departments to evaluate their conservation actions and identify areas for improvement.
