After a tough face-off with Amherst last week, the Tufts baseball team rallied for a series sweep against Bates this past weekend, pushing its record to second-best in the NESCAC. The Jumbos beat the Bobcats on Friday 12–2 and in a double-header on Saturday 6–1 and 8–4, respectively.
Coming off a week of wins against Colby College and MIT, Tufts baseball lost two of three games in a series against Amherst College this weekend.
Coming off a 10–2 record, Tufts’ pitching led the team to a sweep over Suffolk University in Saturday’s doubleheader, winning 5–3 and 10–0 respectively.
The Jumbos dropped a tough doubleheader against the Mules on Friday afternoon for their final NESCAC series of the season. A third game was intended to take place on Saturday but was postponed to Sunday due to inclement weather. In a final push to improve their standing in the NESCAC, the Jumbos lost a tough match.
Two consecutive wins for the Tufts baseball lifted them to a series win over Bates in their first NESCAC games of the season. After an eight-game tour of California and two games last week, the Jumbos had a record of 6–9.
Coming off an opening day win against Brandeis, Tufts baseball split a windy doubleheader with Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday. In a six-hour face-off, the Jumbos came away with an 11-inning 14–13 win and a subsequent 8–1 loss.
