The American League West, baseball's smallest division, with just four teams, has also traditionally been one of its weakest, with perennial champ Texas bowing out to either the Yankees or Indians in the opening round of the playoffs. With the new millennium, however, has come a resurgence of talent out West, with Texas, Oakland, and Seattle each possessing playoff-caliber talent. And with no team having a clear edge over the other, look for it to be a three-team dogfight for the crown.
