Seniors Look Back

What is Tufts' best-kept secret?
"It's got to be the croissant sandwiches [in the campus center]. No one knows about those." ~Marvin Walker

"I would say the circular thing right between Eaton and the library where you talk and it echoes your voice." ~Baker Potts

"Coming to The Rez for coffee and working at The Rez are definitely the best kept secrets to being a happy Tufts student. For sure." ~Liz Fusco

"Did you know that Tufts goes farther than Brown and Brew? That's the best kept secret. All of the engineering and unrelated buildings that are past Brown and Brew that I've never been to … despite being an engineering student. ~Adam White

What is your best and/or worst moment at Tufts?
"[My best Tufts memory is] Naked Quad Run. I've got marks forever from it." ~Marvin Walker

"By far the worst moment was when I lived in a forced triple my freshman year, and my best friend who was also my bunk mate … brought his girlfriend home, and I woke up when they were having sex. The best moment was when I brought home somebody and did the same thing to him three nights later." ~Jason Hill

"Worst moment has got to be when I registered for orgo." ~Meredith Groff

"To be perfectly honest, I think my worst Tufts memory was orientation week. Most people loved that week; I had the worst time. It was not my shining moment. My best Tufts memory, the one that stands out to me constantly, is freshman year Spring Fling, crowd surfing to Guster. I will never forget that one." ~Josh Altman

How have you changed since you've been at Tufts?
"I don't drink as much as I did freshman year. I've definitely become more studious. I get my work done, not necessarily on time, but I get it done in a specified amount of time. If I had the work ethic freshman year that I do now, I would have been doing a lot better freshman year." ~Baker Potts

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?

"Do more school activities. Go to more things. I just learned about Film Series this semester. I could have seen a lot of free movies in my collegiate career." ~Katie Swett

"My recommendation for freshmen would be to do the Tufts-in-Tailloires program because it's just like taking summer classes at Tufts except that you're in the French Alps and there's a lot more cheese." ~Adam White
