A Tufts student biking across the intersection at Powder House Blvd. and Packard Ave. was hit by a car yesterday. The student was transported to Mount Auburn Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) received an emergency call alerting them of the incident at 11:57 a.m., according to TUPDSgt. Robert McCarthy. The Somerville Police Department, the Somerville Fire Department, Cataldo Ambulance Service, Inc., Tufts Emergency Medical Services and TUPD responded to emergency calls.
