Discussion evaluates standardized exam for college grads

In response to impending federal legislation that would make it mandatory for all four-year accredited institutions of higher education in the United States to administer a standardized exit test, the Experimental College hosted a discussion in the Coolidge Room last night to brainstorm ways that Tufts could respond.

Vet School scholarship honors late alumnus

The Kenneth C. Morris (V '85) Memorial Scholarship was awarded to its first beneficiary this past year after being established in 2005 by alumni from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.

Steve Kerr, a former player with five championships to his name, is in his first year as general manager of the Phoenix Suns. And in his first major move, Kerr boggled experts everywhere by trading Shawn Marion, a top-10 player in the league, for an injured, aging and no longer effective Shaquille O'Neal. The trade does not fit with the Suns' up-tempo style and is almost guaranteed to be a disaster.

Reynolds' new romantic comedy breaks the mold ... "Maybe ..."

Amid construction-paper valentines and candy-coated hearts, the apt release date of "Definitely, Maybe" was definitely not a coincidence. Opening on Valentine's Day, this film meanders through the love life of Will Hayes (played by Ryan Reynolds) and his history with three very different women. This unconventional romantic comedy echoes the current electoral climate with an unexpectedly political slant. Hayes, an ambitious newcomer to New York City, aims to make his name as a politician by working on Bill Clinton's presidential campaign in 1992. The Daily recently spoke with Reynolds about love, politics and crackheads.

The Feb. 8 features article "Tufts grads embrace Teach for America program as a stepping stone toward other career paths" referred to Tufts graduate Kayt Norris as a "then-senior" in fall of 2007. In fact, Norris graduated in spring of 2007 and was a recent graduate that fall.
