Old spies and old suspicions die hard

When Alexander Litvinenko, Putin critic and self-exiled former Russian FSB agent, died in London on Nov. 23 of radioactive polonium-210 poisoning, talk instantly turned to "Whodunit?" and "Why?" Indeed, all throughout his long illness and undoubtedly painful death that began after falling ill on Nov. 1, speculation ran wild, and it was hard not to feel that we were living out some fabulous Cold War spy flick.

Classics,' Case, and Clipse can't top 'Post-War' in 2006

Though no album emerged as an irrefutable No. 1, 2006 was a fantastic year for pop music. Hip-hop did well (T.I., Lupe Fiasco, Rhymefest), as did experimental music (Grizzly Bear, Scott Walker), electronica (Drop the Lime) and good ol' fashioned indie rock (The Hold Steady, Camera Obscura), but none of these admirable efforts could crack the top 10. Women's squash | Women secure 'super-clutch win' against biggest NESCAC rival

The women's squash team made the trip out to Amherst on Thursday for its last match of the semester. The Jumbos sat at just below .500 and were coming off a 5-4 upset win over No. 18 William Smith. It was the last match of the season for their No. 1 player, junior Rebecca Rice, before leaving for a semester abroad.

As Americans become increasingly obsessed with weight, this may seem like the magic bullet.
