EVAN COCRAN | DOWN WITH THE FCC

Sex is a wonderful, zesty enterprise and it's only improved by spontaneity and the possibility of getting caught. Our campus is full of hidden places one can go to think alone, have a smoke, or if so inclined, practice the Dirty Santa with a friend.

As the dog days of summer came to an end and many students geared up for a return to the fun and challenges of college, one Tufts student was preparing for the most rigorous athletic challenge of her life. This September, junior Claire Kaufman competed in a Half Ironman Triathlon. Kaufman placed second in her age group (18- to 24-year-old) and eleventh overall out of more than 100 other female competitors. Tufts students must fight Somerville gang law

Somerville's Anti-Gang Loitering Ordinance is an affront to citizen's rights and can be used as a tool for official racism by Somerville Police. While it is understandable that Somerville wants to control its gang problem, prohibiting any suspicious group from gathering is a violation of civil liberties. This law must be repealed before it is copied by other Massachusetts cities.

Ben Hoffman | The Lefty Groove

I'm an Atlanta Braves fan and I'm not angry. Really, I'm not. Yes, they were just knocked out of the playoffs in the Division Series for the third straight year, now making it thirteen division titles in a row with only one World Series ring to show for it. And yes, Braves pitching coach Leo Mazzone just recorded his No. 889,622,455,761 consecutive rock in a tense situation. But I'm not angry. I'm not even upset at how much outfielder J.D. Drew sucks.

Patriots notch 19th straight win with victory over Dolphins

Sometimes in sports, a moment occurs just perfectly so that the difference between two teams becomes so stark that a light bulb turns on over the head of every fan watching. For example: During the 13 inning regular season thriller between the Red Sox and the Yankees, fans saw Derek Jeter take a face plant into the stands at the exact same moment that Nomar was sitting in the dugout sulking. Apparently Theo Epstein saw the contrast too, since Nomar was wearing a Cubs uniform shortly thereafter.
