Four Lions': These are not your average terrorists

"One sheep was blown up in the making of this film." This sentence, which announces the closing credits of "Four Lions," is a perfect way to wrap up this whirlwind of a satire. For the movie's 94 minutes, the audience is taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as director Chris Morris explores the lives of a fictitious, bumbling band of terrorists who call themselves the "Four Lions."

Volleyball | Jumbos receive unexpected bid to NCAA tournament

After falling to Middlebury in the NESCAC finals on Sunday, the volleyball team found itself on the outside looking in for a bid to the NCAA tournament. The Jumbos had entered the NESCAC postseason as the No. 4 seed with a 20−9 record, but failed to secure an automatic spot in the NCAAs.

Brian Eno's new album starts strong but loses steam

Seniors studying abroad assigned junior registration day

The Registrar's Office has assigned seniors studying abroad this semester with junior registration times in an attempt to streamline the registration process for study abroad students. Several seniors, citing a lack of sufficient notice from the Registrar's Office, assumed their registration times would fall in line with the rest of their class and were confused by the discrepancy.

Danny Boyle's latest prepares viewers for the unthinkable

Danny Boyle, the Academy Award−winning director of "Slumdog Millionare" (2008), has done it again. The steady pulse of "127 Hours" never seems to slow down. An adaptation of Aron Ralston's 2004 account of his extreme sacrifice, "Between a Rock and a Hard Place," "127 Hours" describes the several−day period when accomplished climber Ralston (James Franco) became trapped in Utah's Blue John Canyon and had to cut off his right arm to escape.

Volleyball | Jumbos prep for championships

The volleyball team has experienced a season of highs and lows this year, losing senior quad−captain Dawson Joyce−Mendive to an ACL injury in the preseason, then rattling off a 10−match winning streak before losing three critical conference matches, and finally rebounding to finish the season by winning its last three matches.
