As it is, "Head in the Clouds II" is a significant improvement for 88rising. In comparison to itspredecessor, this album contains fewer filler tracks and evokes more intense emotions through its overall sound. Each artist on the label has improved upon their sound, which will garner more attention to their individual names and the 88rising name in the music industry. Song choice tends to be a bit confusing, as the order in which the songs are arranged appears to be nearly random. While this is meant to be a collaborative effort, a smooth flow from beginning to end would help future projects from the label. Nevertheless, each individual song on the album shows 88rising at its best state yet, and each artist proves that they are ready to make major waves.

I’ve also got to point out two songs that I honestly think are two of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard, “Morning Crawls Towards You, And I” (2017) and “Fantasy Theme” (2016), both written by fairly unknown artists. They’re both pretty simple songs with maybe one or two instruments, so you can really focus on the singing and lyrics. I find that the music is enhanced by the low-fi acoustic sound, making them sound as if they were recorded in a makeshift studio in someone’s bedroom (which, to be fair, is a characteristic of a fair amount of the music I listen to anyways). “Necromancer” (2017) also has pretty similar vibes, and I’d lump it in the same low-fi acoustic category with those two other songs.

Following Yvie Oddly’s well-deserved victory in the season 11 finale, the world received a welcome four-month break from the ongoing onslaught of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” (2009–) content. On Oct. 3, however, the reality TV behemoth finally hopped the pond. With its first two episodes, “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” (2019–) has served up a crop of ten sickeningly talented queens along with the BBC’s uniquely British take on the endless well of challenges and drama.
Yet, with more thought, I began to see the weird sense of importance placed upon Greek mythology in schooling. These myths do not represent morals that children should be instilled with either; violence, greed and rape are often key plot points. The emphasis on mythology, I believe, is partially a product of the marginalization of other non-white voices. Why has Greek mythology been canonized for American children and, say, Native American folk lore left behind?
